One of the core features we launched with Screener.co in 2011 was the ability to create complex formulaic screens without programming.  However, some users have found our syntax challenging, or were overwhelmed with the 1,500 individual data points that can be used in screens. With recent innovations in AI, we were able to create a new screen building option that can convert a plain-English description of an inequality into a valid Screener.co screener condition.  You can view a demo of this feature here.

As part of our beta release, we are offering complementary access to this capability to any active Screener.co customer that emails us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and requests access.  If you are not already a customer, you can log into your Screener.co account at https://stock.screener.co and initiate a subscription before emailing us.  This feature is not yet exposed to all customers; you need to follow the instructions we will send you in order to access it.

We are excited about making it even easier to create screens on our platform!  If you have not used our service in a while, this is the perfect opportunity to reconnect with us.

Today, Screener.co founder Lenny Grover published a blog on FinScreener.org extolling the benefits of using a stock screener in the investment process.  From the article:

"Core to my belief in the importance of powerful screening tools is a relief belief that if you prospect in the same narrow company universe as everybody else, it will be harder to consistently differentiate yourself with superior returns. Casting a wider net, and looking off the beaten path for investment opportunities, is especially important for value investors"

If you are curious as to how screening can benefit your investment process, this article is informative.

For LiberatedStockTrader's 2018 stock screener roundup, he evaluated 11 popular screening tools and rated Screener.co "Best for U.S. & International Value Investors who want the best selection of Fundamental Criteria"!  He was impressed with our key features:

A large global universe of securities – this is why we recommend for the international investors, you can even filter screen for which exchange, index, sector and even which country or state the company is headquartered in.

Robust calculation engine that allows non-technical users to create custom screening formulas leveraging over 1,250 built-in metrics

Fast HTML5 web-based platform that allows for rapid iteration when developing screens (unlike Bloomberg’s cumbersome EQS)

Flexible column sets allow any metric (including custom metrics) to be displayed in the results table or watchlist view

Detailed company profiles that can be viewed by clicking on a result and selecting View Company Profile

Very low price – it’s not free, but if you are serious about your Value investing this is well worth the entry level price

In the last two weeks, Screener.co has received a couple of favorable media mentions.  In a Seeking Alpha article, Ruerd Heeg wrote:

How I find these stocks and what I do with them

I find these stocks with screener.co. IT products rarely deliver more than they promise. This website is one of the exceptions. In fact, it delivers much more than I had expected. It provides screening using all kinds of complex and programmable combinations of criteria. In addition, it provides a number of very handy features that I really need but before subscribing I didn't know I would need.

Also, Tom Shaughnessy of SecretCaps created a YouTube video, in which he showed users how to find attractive microcap companies using Screener.co.  The video is embedded at the bottom of this page.
